Elks Lodge Officer Collars

Born in America. Built on Brotherhood.

On February 16, 1868, a group of Americans gathered in New York City with a shared vision — to create a fraternal home rooted in the values that define this great nation. From that founding moment, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks was born, an Order created by Americans, for Americans, and dedicated to the timeless ideals of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity.

In an era of reconstruction and national renewal, the Elks emerged as a beacon of unity — a place where men of good character could gather, serve, and strengthen the communities around them. Over 155 years later, that founding spirit burns as brightly as ever in more than 1,500 lodges across the United States.

A Patriotism That Never Wavers

The Elks are among the most patriotic fraternal organizations in America. Every lodge meeting is opened with a salute to the flag and a solemn toast: "To our country." At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Elks across the nation pause in reverent silence to honor the men and women who have served and sacrificed in defense of American freedom.

Americanism is not a campaign for the Elks — it is the very foundation upon which the Order was built. From the lodge hall to the community square, Elks stand as living proof that patriotism is not just a sentiment, but a daily practice.

Paying It Forward — Service at the Heart of Every Lodge

The Elks have always believed that the strength of a community is measured by how it cares for its most vulnerable. Through the Elks National Foundation and thousands of local lodge initiatives, the Order gives back in ways that touch every corner of American life:

  • Veterans — The Elks National Veterans Service Commission has served America's veterans for over a century, providing direct support, advocacy, and companionship to those who answered the call of duty
  • Youth & Education — Millions of dollars in college scholarships are awarded annually through the Elks National Foundation, opening doors of opportunity for the next generation of American leaders
  • Drug Awareness — The Elks Drug Awareness Program has educated millions of young Americans about the dangers of substance abuse, protecting families and futures
  • Hoop Shoot — One of the largest free throw competitions in the world, giving hundreds of thousands of youth a chance to compete, grow, and shine
  • Community Relief — From food banks and disaster relief to hospital visits and civic projects, local Elks lodges are first responders of the heart in communities across America

The Collar — A Badge of That Legacy

When an Elks officer dons their ceremonial collar, they wear more than a symbol of rank. They wear 155 years of American history, community service, and brotherly devotion. Each collar in this collection is crafted to honor that legacy — premium materials, fine embroidery, and distinctive insignia worthy of the office and the Order that has served America since 1868.
